Sparks, MD (May 24, 2018) — Morabito Consultants engineers Kelly Walus, PE and Barrett Burgoyne, PE accepted the “Excellence in Concrete” award from the Maryland Chapter of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) for their I-97 Business Park Office Building project. The award was presented at the annual ACI “Excellence in Concrete” Awards Banquet held at The Hotel at Arundel Preserve on April 26, 2018. Project team representatives from St. John Properties, Powers Brown Architecture, Chaney Enterprises, Precision Concrete and Vulcan Materials were also on hand to accept the award.
The 126,283 SF office building was the State of Maryland’s first five-story, tilt-up constructed office building and is part of the St. John Properties’ I-97 Business Park Phase III development, a 67-acre business community near the Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.
