Baltimore, MD (September 3, 2019) – Century Engineering, Inc. is proud to announce the move to their new Dover Office Building. The new, 25,000 SF building opened to employees on July 15, 2019. Century designed the 6.5-acre site to include the office building, stormwater retention pond (also used as the water source for site irrigation), parking for over 120 vehicles and accommodations for two future pad sites on Bay Road.
Century worked with local agencies (Kent Conservation District, City of Dover, State Fire Marshal, etc.) to develop the full site build-out. Design activities included: site mass grading and site permitting; erosion and sediment control design and permitting; stormwater management design and permitting; DelDOT entrance design and permitting; landscape design; structural engineering; MEP engineering/energy modeling; and construction support. To complement the design team, Bignell Watkins Hasser Architects provided architecture and interior design services.
Scott Rathfon (Executive Vice President in the Dover Office), had this to say about the new facility, “I think I speak for all the employees when I say how excited we are to be in our new facility. We definitely outgrew our previous location and this new state-of-the-art facility gives us room to grow comfortably in to the future. This new facility will definitely help us with our goal of keeping our best and brightest Delaware employees in Delaware and attracting new talent to Central Delaware.”
