November 25, 2019 (Baltimore, MD) – Waldon Studio Architects (WSA) has announced the promotion of Andrew Beyea, AIA, to Director of Design. In this newly created role, Beyea will work across the firm’s three offices, overseeing all design processes and ensuring WSA’s design values are upheld on every project.
WSA was founded to serve and strengthen the community through creative design. Through its consultative and collaborative approach, the firm believes that architecture has the power to create positive change, enrich lives and elevate purpose. It is headquartered in Columbia, with offices in Washington, D.C. and Baltimore.

Beyea’s creative and client-centric approach has led WSA to regional and national design awards. He provides mentoring to staff at WSA by leading design charrettes, drawing studies, design philosophy discussions, and promoting innovative solutions.
Andrew Beyea, joined the WSA team in 2011 and has nearly 15 years of experience. He has served as one of WSA’s lead designers for a variety of projects ranging from worship, community, commercial facilities, and urban planning. He approaches every project as a unique opportunity, providing thorough exploration of a client’s vision, project site, context, and building materials to create a clear, well-crafted design that is tailored to the client.
