Baltimore, Maryland (October 25, 2019) – Expanding the abilities of its talented team, Baltimore-based Ziger|Snead Architects welcomes new members to its team. As a small business with a national reputation for design excellence, the studio believes that great design is the result of an intelligent and ambitious team. The studio is continuing to grow and looking for additional team members.
Claire Edelen, AIA, LEED AP BD+C joins as Architect. Claire holds a Masters of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin (2015), and is a LEED Accredited Professional Building Design + Construction. In her four years of experience she supported the programming and construction phases of Washington University’s Weil Hall, an 80,000 sf MFA and Graduate Architecture building. She is working on the new C&O Canal National Park Service Headquarters & Visitor Center in Williamsport, MD and new offices for Young Audiences of Maryland.
Kelly Danz, AIA, LEED AP BD+C joins as Architect. Kelly holds a Masters of Architecture from Columbia University (2012), and is a LEED Accredited Professional Building Design + Construction. With seven years of experience, she has worked on a variety of government/federal, workplace, non-profit, residential, as well as community and cultural projects. Presently she is working on Baltimore Union Hall, an adaptive reuse of a 1960s building in Baltimore with a vision to be a community and arts resource.
Travis Akiwowo, Assoc. AIA joins as Designer. Travis received his Master of Architecture from the Catholic University of America in 2011. With eight years of experience, Travis brings a focus on how architecture can enhance the cultural and social goals for non-profit and community-based organizations. He has worked on government, higher education, high-rise office, institutional, performing arts, and non-profit projects. He is presently working on multiple residential and institutional projects, as well as implementing new BIM standards for the studio.
Alec DuMond joins as Designer. Alec graduated in 2015 with a Bachelors of Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His four years of experience includes a range of healthcare and higher education projects including the New Science Building at Towson University. He is currently working on renovations at University Baptist Church and the reconstruction of Lawyer’s Mall in Annapolis, MD.
Cyrus Lee joins as Designer. Cyrus is a recent honors graduate with his Masters of Architecture from the University of Bath in England. He has international internship experience with multiple firms in Hong Kong and England. He is currently working on the Eager Cathedral Development and assisting the team with residential and institutional projects.
