MV+A Architects Announces Three New Associates

Washington, DC (March 25, 2016) – MV+A is proud to announce the promotions of Neville Fernandes, AIA, LEED AP; Brian Szymanski, AIA, AICP, LEED AP; and Russell Zung, AIA, LEED AP to Associate.
Neville Fernandes AIA, LEED AP is leading the design efforts on several of MV+A’s urban mixed-use projects, including Half and N Street, 965 Florida Ave, and Broad & Washington in Falls Church. As an Associate, Neville will continue to steer our exceptional design work and project approach as MV+A continues expanding in D.C. and other regions.
Bridging planning and architecture, Brian Szymanski, AIA, AICP, LEED AP specializes in conceptual and schematic planning and design of complex mixed-use sites, including his ongoing efforts as the lead architect of multiple parcels at the McMillan Sand Filtration site redevelopment in DC and new high profile urban mixed-use projects in Charlotte, NC and Pittsburgh, PA.  Brian recently passed the AICP exams of the American Planning Association and is a Certified Planner.
Across multiple MV+A projects, including the first residential mixed use building at MV+A’s Riverdale Park project, the retail portion of the Apollo on H-Street, and 4735 Bethesda Avenue, a joint MV+A/Morris Adjmi project that completes the corner of Bethesda and Woodmont Avenues, Russell Zung, AIA, LEED AP demonstrates an enthusiastic management approach to providing comprehensive design documents and building client relationships. As an Associate, Russell will continue to expand his role as project manager and ensure precise, exceptional design work.
