BALTIMORE, MD (August 25, 2016) – Wohlsen Construction Company’s Baltimore Visitor Center was named Engineering News-Record (ENR) MidAtlantic Best Regional Project in the Small Project category.
Located in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, the renovations allow the building to serve dual-purposes. By day, it functions as a scenic and interactive informational center for the harbor’s 11 million annual tourists. At night, it transforms into a state-of-the-art event venue with a controllable LED lighting system, turning the entire building into a blank canvas for artists and performers.
Winning projects are chosen based on a variety of achievements, including their ability to overcome challenges, effective safety practices, and high levels of construction quality and craftsmanship.
