Annapolis, MD (October 27, 2016) – Purple Cherry Architects—a 20-year old Annapolis based full-service architecture and interior design firm specializing in custom luxury homes and interiors—hits the trifecta, and wins three Annapolis Home Magazine “Builder & Fine Design Awards” for its design projects in the following project categories:
- Triple Grand Prize – Outdoor Living (Pool House on Harness Creek)
- Grand Prize – Whole House Interior Design (Waterfront Home in Bay Ridge)*
- Design Excellence Award – Outbuilding (Barn Garage on Aberdeen Creek)
“I am so very appreciative of receiving award recognition for three of our custom residential projects by Annapolis Home Magazine,” said Cathy Purple Cherry, founder and principal of Purple Cherry Architects. “We are blessed with incredible clients that allow me and my talented team at Purple Cherry Architects to do our very best work. The past 30 years of refining my craft has been a joy for me.”
“More firms entered the 2016 Annapolis Home Builder and Fine Design Awards than ever done so before,” said Robert Haywood, publisher, Annapolis Home Magazine. “In this highly competitive awards year, the winning projects selected by independent judges are truly outstanding works of fine design.”
The magazine’s judges reviewed over 325 photographs from 46 projects. “The judges for this year’s awards are all highly accomplished, award-winning designers,” added Haywood. “They took the job seriously and their judging was completely blind.”
An awards celebration was held on October 13th at the Westin of Annapolis, MD, where Annapolis Home Magazine’s publishers, Robert Haywood and Kymberly Taylor presented Builder & Fine Design Awards to Purple Cherry Architects along with other industry winners that won in various categories. The award-winning projects will be featured in the special January awards issue of Annapolis Home Magazine.
* Pilli Custom Homes and Interior Concepts were also recipients of this shared award
