BALTIMORE, MD (May 6, 2016) — Rubeling & Associates, a JMT Division, has promoted Sandra R. Sawicki, CID, IIDA, to Vice President. Sawicki oversees the division’s interior design practice.
In her new position, Sawicki will be responsible for the entire interior design department, overseeing its strategic direction, growth, and day-to-day operation.
“Sandy more than deserves this promotion to Vice President,” said Al Rubeling, Senior Vice President of Towson-based Rubeling & Associates, A JMT Division. “Not only has she demonstrated the characteristics that define an outstanding design professional day-after-day for years, she has also enhances the services we can provide clients while growing that part of our business. With 32 years of experience—17 of them with our firm—Sandy approaches every project in a creative, personable, and professional manner.
At Rubeling & Associates, Sawicki includes education, elder care, corporate office, religious, community, and government facilities as well a recreation, country club, and banking to her list of project specialties. Her projects include the eight-story Catholic Center, Borders Learning Center at Mt. St. Mary’s University, Hockessin Athletic Club and Wellness Center, Stella Maris, and the Courts Building in Baltimore County. Her corporate headquarters clients include M&T Bank, PSA Financial, Chesapeake Employers’ Insurance Fund and US Lacrosse Headquarters.
Previously, Sawicki worked for two of Baltimore’s premiere interior design firms, holding the Design Director position. During her time with these firms, her work included corporate offices, banks, and a variety of real estate development spaces.
Sawicki graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science in Design. She is also a Certified Interior Designer and a member of the American Society of Interior Designers.
