Washington, DC (November 2, 2018) – Peter Fillat, III, AIA, President & CEO of FILLAT+ Architecture, hired Taylora Imes-Thomas as Associate Principal for our Washington, DC office.
Taylora Imes-Thomas, CDT, joined FILLAT+ Architecture in Washington, DC in August. She brings 23 years of architectural experience to her position as Associate Principal. Taylora joins Peter Fillat, AIA, John Fetty, AIA, and the talented staff of architectural designers in their Washington, DC office.
Previous to joining FILLAT+, Taylora worked with Torti Gallas + Partners, Inc., and Phillips Swager Associates. Taylora’s professional experience with workforce and affordable housing will prove invaluable to FILLAT+ as we continue to expand our portfolio.
Taylora’s background in Architecture and Archaeology offers the unique opportunity to marry her passion for documenting history with design of human environments. Taylora has documented indigenous American housing that dates back to over 2,000 years ago and has crafted new housing for under-served populations. She feels a personal connection with people and evokes human emotion through her design of personal spaces, saying, “Our role in shaping future environments comes from understanding people and their needs before putting pen to paper.“
