Allied Members in the time of COVID-19

How has APCO Graphics shifted gears?

As a signage provider for the healthcare sector, we are considered an essential business. Despite this fact, we closed our plant for nearly two weeks in April, while still fulfilling orders with minimum essential workers, prioritizing orders that were for hospitals. But much of that time closed was spent reconfiguring our workspace to ensure our manufacturing teams were better able to maintain social distancing.

We reopened four weeks ago at a slightly reduced capacity, but are thankful that our financial stability has kept us from shutting our doors, as we’ve seen so many small businesses close.

In response to the need for AIA continuing education opportunities and the global health concern, we have shifted from an emphasis on lunch and learn presentations to digital webinars for the design community.

Our AIA CEU presentation on Planning a Sign System is being updated right now to address how signage and wayfinding needs to evolve with the changing landscape of facilities during this pandemic. APCO’s systems approach to signage for ease in maintenance and updating has never been more relevant.
