Lauren Meister, Associate AIA, is co-chair of the Baltimore Architecture Foundation Future Architect’s Resources (FAR) Committee. She is an architectural designer for Marshall Craft Associates (MCA), a Baltimore- based architecture firm providing full-service planning, design, and facilities management assistance services for healthcare, higher education, and private sector clients. With over 5 years of experience in the architecture industry, Lauren enjoys all aspects of the design process and collaborating with teams to bring these ideas to life.
Prior to joining MCA, Lauren graduated with her Master of Architecture degree with a Certificate in Museum Studies from the University of Cincinnati in the spring of 2021. During this time she interned at firms in Washington, DC, Chicago, and even with Walt Disney Imagineering in Los Angeles. Her thesis research, “Opportunities in Liminality,” focused on museum design as it is incorporated within the fabric connecting a public university and local community together Before going back to graduate school, Lauren worked as a Project Manager at Champlin Architecture in Cincinnati, Ohio, while also volunteering with the Architectural Foundation of Cincinnati and their Design LAB educational program. Lauren also attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Honors with Distinction and studied abroad for a semester in Copenhagen, Denmark.
